Sunshine's new little girl

My new years resolution wish was to be more properous then last year. And I have to tell you that to me that does not mean thousands of dollars..though naturally I would take it.. I find prosperity in many things.

New years day Daffy had our first goat kid of 2009. My wish was granted..

Well.. It has not ended there.. So far this year we have had 7 kids, and there are more on the way. Sadly I have lost two of them but the rest are all healthy and happy as they can be. And the wonderful addition of Chance and Lilly Belle's filly.

So tonight I came home after work instead of going to the horse rescue that I volunteer at, been pushing myself too much after surgery last week and am hurting and tired.

Anyway I came home to find that Sunshine was about to deliver. Sunshine always worries me because she is one of the smallest does I have and has had troubles with delivery. Her first go around she had to have an emergancy C-Section and we lost the babies, twins.. the second time they were still born, twins again. The third time she did manage to deliver with help from me because the kid was pretty large, but he lived and was healthy..

So now her fourth time around she has had a little girl. She is healhy and a pretty little thing.. I might keep her for my herd but I am not sure about that just yet. The delivery went just like it should.. No complications at all.. And I didn't have to pull this time. It was such an awesome thing to watch, and not so much because of the new life but because Sunshine was not under undue stress, did not need help from me, it didn't last for hours like normal, and the little girl is healthy.

I couldn't be happier.. I swore after the last round with SweetPea, that if the does did not have it easier with the delivery then I would stop breeding .. This was the last time I was going to do it.. So far the births that are gauranteed to be fathered by this billy, Beaux, have been just like they should be.

And just as soon as she took her first breath I had a name for this little one.

So here is Sunshine's Whisper
