Floral heart!

I found a picture of a qulit and it had a fantastic heart pattern done with it in florals. Absolutely beautiful don't you think???

This is what I was trying to accomplish...

This is my first attempt to duplicate it. It measures about 36" by 36" , is made with 3" squares and used about 170 squares. I have put a medium green border around it and it now measures about 40" by 40". I still need to put a backing on it and then quilt it but I will get that done soon enough and have it up for sell on ebay.

And here is what I accomplished.

I will be working on another with a different pattern to see if I can futher define the heart. I dont't think that the patern I used for this first one had the right print to accomplish what I was trying for. The next one should..and I will post pics of that one here when I get that done as well.
