Wow.. I didn't realize that it had been so long since I had updated here. so this might be a long post.
Beeb suffered from an ear infection that took two doses of antibiotic to get better. The ear ruptured and made it pretty painful as well. BUT.. it is getting better and he is back to his normal self.
V.. doing the same and loving it!!
Me.. I am doing pretty good. I got bit by something on the calf and it really hurt for a while but it is better. I had an allergic reaction to the bite. I had a huge bruise on it and a charly horse in that calf for a couple of weeks. but it is almost completely better now.
Things we have been doing...
the garden is struggling but we will see how it turns out. It definately will be a late blooming garden due to me getting it all in the ground late. We had 21 days straight of rain and things were moving pretty slow. I lost all of my onions, corn, peas, spinach, brussel sprouts, and lettuce.. But my cucumbers, squash, tomoatoes, green beans, and radishes are trying so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Been working on straightening some of the fencelines and adding support with wooden poles.
I picked fresh Sand Plums and made 19 pints of jelly out of it. It did not set the first time around so I had to reheat it and add more pectin. I am planning on going to my neighbors to see about some wild blackberries and making preserves and jelly out of that as well. If I get alot out of my garden I will be busy canning or freezing as much as possible. My neighbor has TONS of squash and zucchini coming out of her garden so I will be making breads too. NUMMY!!
I have been adding things to my store for sell regularly. I find that I want to knit alot lately so that is what I have been doing. Making mostly booties, mittens, hats, and blankets for babies. I have also been piddling with quilts but not as mucha s before. I will post the topper I just finished in the next post.
I have alot of yard work to do with all the rain we have had the grass and weeds have gone bonkers so I need to catch up with some of it.
